Spent Xmas here and it was cozy. Rooms had tatami floors, which were super comfortable and traditional kimonos provided for us to wear. Private onsen was a plus, it felt like our own private spa. The meals were unforgettable. We loved dining in a private room and trying all the Japanese dishes we had never tasted before. Location was great, offering scenic views and access to nearby onsens. The staff was very attentive and friendly, ensuring we had a great experience.
The language barrier was a bit challenging when communicating with some of the staff, but we managed with a translation app. While there were nearby onsens, there wasn't much else to do nearby.

The hotel had a traditional Japanese vibe which was nice for experiencing the culture. the staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure that our room was clean and had fresh flowers. the location was convenient, as it was close to the town center. It was easy to access restaurants and shops.
Our Christmas dinner was subpar. the food was just okay, and not worth the price we paid.
